August is HOT! and news . . .

Hello everyone,

Since 2003, SpiritPlants has been on the air online, providing a wide variety of smart, entertaining, provocative content to listeners around the world. And since 2008 we have been on air 24/7, with 36 scheduled weekends a year of original DJ shows and other content (including psychedelic lectures, jazz, live rock shows, news programs, comedy, science, literary). We strive to cover a wide range of material that appeal to head, heart, soul, and hope. We have built up a core audience of listeners in many countries.

With growth, of course, come challenges. Our radio stream provider tells me that he cannot afford to carry our rising bandwidth needs for free any longer. He is offering the station a very low rate to keep us on the air. $180/year is the price. We'd easily have to pay double that with any other provider.

I'd like to ask your help in raising this sum to assure continuing 24/7 radio operations for the next year (Sept-Aug). I am asking each of you to chip in $10 (US) to this effort. I am hopeful that this station means enough to you for you to help keep it going long-term.
